There are 2 silver chinchillas left, one boar and one sow. Both are very cute and a good light colour.
Here is a picture of them.

At last I have some chin sows and my first litter from Lewis, he has produced some lovely babies.

Well they are all big chunky babies and look very healthy, so that is the main thing, all weighing over 100g. Glitter is looking as if she will be a great mum. They look very much like Glitter when she was born, picture of her at the bottom of this page with Crystal, so one of them may change into an argente.

I have been waiting so long to get a chinchilla sow!!! Well done Lola and Maxwell.

Still not chinchilla sows!!!!!

She had 5, but unfortunately 2 were born dead.
The sow on the right was an argente and was very small, under 50g and unfortunately I lost her after a few days.
The baby in the middle is an argente boar and then a self lilac sow on the left.
Here is a picture of her.
The two remaining babies have now gone to their new homes.
The silver chinchillas are quite large and came out a bit squashed up and the little golden/chocolate boar is small but seems to be feeding really well.
This will be her last litter, she will now be retired. The golden agouti boar has gone to a new home and the silver chinchilla boars are now called Magnus and Mozart.

I did not expect Crystal's babies so soon, and only having one she did not look very pregnant. I was hoping for a sow, so I am very pleased.
Luckily I had taken Luke away. She is staying with mum and I have called her Glitter.
