New Babies 2009

Pickle had her babies from Maxwell on 8th December early in the morning.   There were 4 in the litter but there were 2 lemons chins DOA, real shame.   There are 2 silver chinchillas left, one boar and one sow.  Both are very cute and a good light colour.    Here is a picture of them.

I could not get a picture of them with Pickle, they would just not sit still at all!!

Here is a picture of Cleo's babies from Lewis born on 1st December.   She had four lovely babies, one white/lilac argente sow, one pe white boar and two silver chin sows.   They are lovely chunky babies and Cleo is looking after them very well.
At last I have some chin sows and my first litter from Lewis, he has produced some lovely babies.

Here they are with Cleo, but I just could not get them to sit still!!!!

Here is a picture of Glitter's babies from Maxwell born on 29th November.   There is one dark eyed white sow, one ruby eyed white boar and one pink eyed white boar, but no chins.
Well they are all big chunky babies and look very healthy, so that is the main thing, all weighing over 100g.  Glitter is looking as if she will be a great mum.   They look very much like Glitter when she was born, picture of her at the bottom of this page with Crystal, so one of them may change into an argente.

Here they are with Glitter.

Here is a picture of Lilly's babies from Mozart born on 21st November.   She had 5 very cute babies.  Two lemon chins and 2 silver chins, the 2 lemons are boars and one of the silver chins is also a boar, and last a very over marked fox sow, but very sweet.

Here is a picture of them with Lilly, it was very difficult to get them all to line up and stay still.

Here is a picture of Lola's babies from Maxwell born on 8th September.  She had 4 lovely babies.   One dark eyed white boar, one chocolate and white boar, one self chocolate sow and at last a cinnamon chinchilla sow!!    I have been waiting so long to get a chinchilla sow!!!  Well done Lola and Maxwell.

Here they are with Lola.  They were very cheeky and would not sit still.

Here is a picture of Milly's babies from Maxwell born on the 3rd September.  She had 2 lovely big babies.  One golden agouti boar and one black fox sow.  This is the first time I have bred a black fox, so I am really pleased and especially as it is a sow.    Still not chinchilla sows!!!!!

Here is a picture of them with Milly.

Here is a picture of Lucy's babies from Jack born on the 24th June.    She had 5, but unfortunately 2 were born dead.   The sow on the right was an argente and was very small, under 50g and unfortunately I lost her after a few days.   The baby in the middle is an argente boar and then a self lilac sow on the left.

Unfortunately poor Lucy developed tox and could not feed the babies.    The babies then went to live with Lunar as Lucy was not well, and she looked after them really well.   The strange thing is the coat on the lilac sow changed and turned really fluffy, so I am not sure what she will eventually turn into.    Here is a picture of her.

The little argente boar is also changing, so these 2 could turn out to be a real surprise.    The two remaining babies have now gone to their new homes.

Here are Mandy's babies from Maxwell born on 16th June.   She has had all boars, what has happened to the sows and no dalmatians?!!    The silver chinchillas are quite large and came out a bit squashed up and the little golden/chocolate boar is small but seems to be feeding really well.

Here they are with Mandy.   This will be her last litter, she will now be retired.  The golden agouti boar has gone to a new home and the silver chinchilla boars are now called Magnus and Mozart.

Pickle had her babies from Pedro (black fox) in the evening of the 4th February at about 10 pm.  She was indoors because of the cold weather.   She had 2 lemon chinchilla sows, one silver chinchilla boar and one lemon argente boar.  They are all lovely and quite big.   Here is a picture just after they were born, all looking very sleepy.

Here are the babies the next day.

I am kept the lemon chinchilla sow in the middle and have called her Lilly.  The other three babies have gone to their new homes.

Crystal had one baby on the 4th February from Luke.   She had a huge white/beige argente sow.  She is very cute and weighed a whopping 140 g.   I did not expect Crystal's babies so soon, and only having one she did not look very pregnant.   I was hoping for a sow, so I am very pleased.   Luckily I had taken Luke away.   She is staying with mum and I have called her Glitter.

Lucy had her babies from Anakin on 26th January, my first litter for 2009.   She had 4 very cute babies, 3 silver chinchilla boars and 1 white/lilac argente sow.   Here are some pictures of them with Lucy, and on their own on their second day.

They have now all gone to their new homes.
